Accessibility Statement

1. Our Commitment

North Cast Inc. ("North Cast," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We view accessibility as part of doing business properly: our customers are engineers, buyers, and quality personnel at industrial companies, and none of them should be blocked from requesting a quote or reviewing our capabilities because of how a page is built.

We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard commonly applied to commercial websites in the United States under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Where our site is used in connection with federal procurement, we also consider the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

2. Conformance Status

This website is substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Substantially conformant" means most of the standard has been met, with some exceptions described below.

We want to be straightforward about the basis for that statement: our assessment is a self-evaluation. This site has not yet been audited by an independent third party, and no formal conformance certification has been issued. We would rather tell you that plainly than claim a level of verification we have not carried out.

3. Measures Taken

Accessibility considerations are built into how the site is developed rather than added afterward. Measures currently in place include:

Semantic HTML structure with correctly ordered headings, landmarks, and lists, so screen readers can navigate the page logically

A skip-to-content link at the top of every page for keyboard and screen reader users

Keyboard operability for all interactive elements, including navigation, forms, carousels, and modal dialogs, with visible focus indicators

Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and decorative images marked so assistive technology can ignore them

Color contrast checked against the WCAG AA thresholds for body text and interface elements

Form fields with associated labels, and validation errors announced in text rather than communicated by color alone

Respect for the operating system's reduced-motion preference, which suppresses animation for visitors who have asked for it

Responsive layouts that remain usable when text is enlarged or the viewport is narrow, without loss of content or functionality

A declared page language, so screen readers use the correct pronunciation

4. Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some areas of this site may not yet be fully accessible. We are aware of the following:

Some technical drawings, process photographs, and product images convey detail that is difficult to express fully in alternative text. Where this matters to a purchasing decision, contact us and we will describe the part or process directly.

Video content on the site is used to illustrate manufacturing processes and does not currently carry captions or audio description. This content is supplementary; no information required to request a quote or understand our capabilities exists only in video.

Documents supplied by third parties, such as certificates or datasheets in PDF form, may not meet the same standard as the site itself, because we do not control how they are produced.

Interactive galleries and carousels are keyboard operable, but the experience is less efficient than the rest of the site for screen reader users.

5. Feedback and Assistance

If you encounter a barrier on this site, or if there is information you need and cannot reach, please tell us. We treat accessibility reports as defects, not as suggestions, and we will work with you to get you the information by another route in the meantime.

Please include the page address, a description of the problem, and, if you can, the browser and assistive technology you were using. That detail helps us reproduce the issue rather than guess at it.

What to expect when you contact us:

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within five business days

We will tell you whether we can fix the issue, and if so, our expected timeframe

If a fix will take time, we will offer an alternative way to get the information or complete the task you were attempting

If you need to submit a request for quote and cannot use the online form, we will accept it by email and walk it through on your behalf

6. Ongoing Effort

Accessibility is not a one-time project. We review the site when we add or change pages, and we act on issues reported to us. As the site grows, we intend to expand testing, including evaluation by people who use assistive technology and, in time, independent review. This statement will be updated as that work progresses.

7. Formal Complaints

If you have raised an accessibility issue with us and are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate it by writing to sm@northcast.us with "Accessibility Complaint" in the subject line. A member of management who was not involved in the original response will review the matter.

This process does not limit any rights you may have under the Americans with Disabilities Act or other applicable federal or state law.
