This Privacy Policy describes how North Cast Inc. ("North Cast," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website at https://northcast.us (the "Site") or submit information through our contact and request-for-quote (RFQ) forms. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
We collect only the information needed to respond to your inquiries and operate the Site:
We use the information we collect to: (a) respond to your inquiries and communicate with you; (b) prepare and deliver quotations you request; and (c) understand how the Site is used so we can improve it. We do not use your information for purposes unrelated to these.
We process personal data on the following legal bases: (a) your consent; (b) the performance or negotiation of a contract with you or your company; (c) compliance with applicable legal obligations; and (d) our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Site, provided these do not override your fundamental rights.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it in two situations, and no others. First, with service providers who help us operate the Site, such as website hosting and email delivery providers, and only to the extent necessary for them to perform those services on our behalf. Second, when you ask us for a quotation. We review your drawings and specifications ourselves first, and use that review to identify which of our manufacturing partners is best suited to the part. Only then do we send that partner the information required to quote and produce it, which normally means the drawing, the specifications, and the contact details needed to raise technical questions. Your material is not circulated among partners who are not being considered for the work, and the partner we select receives it in confidence and for that purpose alone. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law or legal process.
This Site uses Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which are cookieless by design: they measure aggregate traffic and performance without setting tracking cookies or building an identifiable profile of individual visitors. We do not use advertising or cross-context tracking cookies, and we do not use your browsing activity on this Site for behavioral advertising.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or similar opt-out preference signal, please note that we already do not sell or share personal information and do not use tracking cookies. There is nothing to opt out of in practice, but we respect and will honor any such signal as confirmation of your preference.
North Cast does not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.
We retain inquiry and quote-related information in our systems for three years from your last contact with us, after which it is deleted automatically. We may keep it longer where a legal or accounting obligation requires it.
Files you send with a quote request are delivered to the relevant sales inbox by email. Those messages, and the files attached to them, remain in that mailbox and with our email provider until we delete them, and are not covered by the automatic three-year deletion described above. If you would like a drawing or specification removed, write to us and we will remove it.
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information you provide, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information consistent with industry practice.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you have submitted through the Site, or ask us to stop contacting you, at any time. To make a request or ask a question about this Policy, email us at sm@northcast.us.
North Cast does not sell, share, or use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). This applies equally to business contacts (company representatives, procurement staff) who submit our contact or RFQ forms. If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to our processing of your personal data in connection with offering our products and services to you. In addition to the rights described elsewhere in this Policy, you have the right to:
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
This Privacy Policy and our handling of personal information are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable U.S. federal law.
